The World Peace Organization supports and values the Positive Steps of the Indonesian Ministry of Human Rights in creating Peace in the Social Conflict in Cidahu Sukabumi

Jakarta, (4/7) President of The World Peace Organization Dr. Bambang Hery Purnomo fully supports the steps taken by the Indonesian Ministry of Human Rights (Kemenham) in realizing peaceful reconciliation after the viral incident of the disbandment of a religious retreat in Tangkil Village, Cidahu, Sukabumi, West Java.

The steps taken by the Indonesian Ministry of Human Rights in guaranteeing 7 suspects for suspension of detention are based on in-depth considerations and investigations, where the chaos occurred due to misinformation and only because of people’s perceptions spread through WA or social media.

According to Bambang, the majority of our citizens are very weak in verifying information, especially regarding religious issues that are very easily provoked. There are still many of our citizens who are religious with a narrow understanding.

Then secondly, to reduce the increasingly heated issue as if this incident had become a religious issue that disturbed the majority religion. This issue is getting wilder and will be very dangerous for the development of the nation in the future. The steps taken by the Indonesian Ministry of Human Rights to suggest a peaceful solution, a path of love that does not always have to punish the perpetrators, but rather prioritizes a peaceful resolution that can accommodate both parties is a positive thing.

However, according to Bambang, it is also necessary to start human rights education activities in order to create peace.

Furthermore, Bambang added that in the context of maintaining local social relations, this effort is good if it is accompanied by efforts to strengthen ties, although the legal process is still ongoing.
